Friday 21th of March 2014 at 11:00h, 20 telecommunications and electronic students at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Limoges (ENSIL), France interested in the Computer Vision Center (CVC) activity came to visit our institution.
First, Professor Maria Varnell, CVC researcher and coordinator of the master in computer vision, explained them the master in computer vision thought by 4 universities of Barcelona. Then Dr. Jorge Bernal, researcher at CVC, showed them a presentation regarding our center and computer vision in general. He also talked in more detail about some representative R&D projects developed in the CVC to give a vision of the baste range of fields that this technology can cover and to show the center’s ability to developed both research and development projects.
Right after the presentation, they were guided trough a visit around the center where technicians and researchers showed some demonstrations and examples of the work that they are doing in the CVC. The UNED students were able to ask questions and share opinions, creating a very close and fruitful discussion environment.
