2nd award at the Automatic Polyp Detection Challenge

2nd award at the Automatic Polyp Detection Challenge for a work developed between CVC Researchers and Hospital Clinic de Barcelona Physicians.

The work, under the title “WM-DOVA maps for accurate polyp highlighting in colonoscopy: Validation vs. saliency maps from physicians” developed by: PhD. Jorge Bernal (CVC), PhD. F. Javier Sánchez (CVC), Dr. Gloria Fernández-Esparrach (Hospital Clínico de Barcelona), PhD.  Débora Gil (CVC), Dr. Cristina Rodríguez (Hospital Clínic de Barcelona) and PhD. Fernando Vilariño (CVC), has received the 2nd award of the Automatic Polyp detection Challenge 2015.

The challenge has taken place during the  International Symposium on BIOMEDICAL IMAGING: From Nano to Macro celebrated in New York on April 16th, 17th and 18th 2015.

It is the 1st edition of this challenge and it already catch the attention of over a hundred people that have downloaded the data base and over twenty have attended the event on April 16th.
