Four CVC researchers among the world’s top 1.5% in Artificial Intelligence

Stanford University recently published its latest classification of the world's most influential scientists in 22 different fields and 176 sub-fields. Within the subfield “Artificial Intelligence and Imaging Processing” which includes 215,114 researchers, the ranking places a total of four CVC scientists among the world's top 1.5% of researchers with influence in 2019. These scientists are: Dr. Joost van de Weijer, Dr. Sergio Escalera, Dr. Antonio López and Dr. Dimosthenis Karatzas

The list is based on information gathered in the Scopus database and takes into consideration standardised information on parameters related to the impact of scientific publications: citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator. In addition, the classification allows for a comparison of metrics with and without self-citations.
