On Wednesday 13th of March, our PhD student, Edgar Riba, has organized an informal meeting on behalf of the Open Source Computer Vision Library (OpenCV) to explain students how they can opt to participate at the Google Summer of Code with OpenCV.
Place: CVC Conference Hall
Every year Google launches the Google Summer of Code program (GSoC) where they award university students with stipends to collaborate in Open Source projects. This year, and after 7 more, the Open Source Computer Vision Library (OpenCV) will participate as a mentoring organization allowing the top selected students with interests in Computer Vision to contribute in the project while being supervised by expert mentors in the field. In this Q&A session, representing the OSVF-OpenCV I will introduce to the students in what consists to participate to the GSoC, the process to follow in order to apply and a quick overview to the proposed projects. The session will be very dynamic where we will offer some beverages and snacks, so don’t be shy and come to clear up your questions.
