Dr. Antonio Torralba – MIT 

Antonio Torralba is a Professor of Electrical Engineering  and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the MIT director of the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab, and the inaugural director of the MIT Quest for Intelligence, a MIT campus-wide initiative to discover the foundations of intelligence.

 

Dr. Joan Bruna  – New York University 

Joan Bruna is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science, Data Science and Mathematics (affiliated) at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University, and at the Center for Data Science. His research interests touch several areas of Machine Learning, Signal Processing and High-Dimensional Statistics.

 

Dr. Antonio López – CVC -UAB

Antonio M Lopez is Associate Professor at the Computer Science department of the Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona (UAB). He is also a founding member of the Computer Vision Center (CVC) of the UAB, where he created and is the Principal Investigator of the group on ADAS and Autonomous Driving since 2002.

 

Dr. Marco Bressan – Satellogic

Marco is the Chief Data Scientist in Satellogic where he currently builds a global geo-information analytics platform and develops solutions for a broad range of sectors. Prior to this, as BBVA’s Chief Data Scientist and Global Head of Data, Marco led the bank’s efforts to become a data-driven organization. Marco was also Chief Innovation Officer for Xerox Corporation where he developed smart sensor systems and real-time urban analytics solutions.

 

Dr. Eduard Vázquez – Cortexica

Eduard Vazquez received his PhD in Computer Vision from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (2010). Eduard has 9 years’ experience on commercialising a variety of methods for medical imaging, retail, manufacturing and real-time video analytics. He also has experience as a consultant on AI. His main focus as a Director of Research at Cortexica Vision Systems is to understand and explain the gap between theoretical research and the technology that can be effectively applied.
