HOW TO REACH THE UAB CAMPUS
Campus UAB
(Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona)
The
Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona's central campus is in Bellaterra
(Cerdanyola del Vallès), 20km outside Barcelona, between
Sabadell and Sant Cugat del Vallès. The UAB has two railway stations, FGC (Catalan
Railways) and RENFE (Spanish Railways). In both cases, from
Plaça de Catalunya to UAB, the train spends about 30 minutes.
Apartments and Serhs Hotel Campus, where the ICDAR2009 conference is
held are located at Vila Universitaria. The Vila Universitaria can be
reached by walking in 10 minutes from the FGC stations of Bellaterra
and Univeristat Autònoma. The UAB has its own free bus service connecting
the main centers and faculties with the RENFE station and the Vila
Uniersitaria. Make sure to take a bus from the red line. Buses from the
blue line do not stop at Vila Universitaria.
