The MICCAT workshop will be a 1 day single-track workshop on topics related to Medical Imaging on Wednesday 30th of November 2011 in Barcelona.

The event will take place at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Exact location to be announced).

The MICCAT workshop is organized by Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Universitat de Barcelona and Universitat de Girona.

The main goal of this workshop is to support graduate students on their research effort by providing a local forum to present and discuss their ideas, receive critical feedback, be able to learn to be critical to others work, network and share experience with other students, and all that in a friendly and stimulating local atmosphere. Moreover, attendees will benefit by learning about current research, engaging in technical discussions and meeting researchers with related interests.

Oral presentations will be assigned preferentially but not exclusively to PhD students in their last two years before graduation. Abstracts not selected for the oral sessions will be presented in the poster session.

Organizing Committee

This workshop will be organized by a committee of senior students who will share the responsibility of finalizing the structure and implementation of the workshop and the social program, editing the proceedings, providing assistance to other students both before and on-site during the event, chairing and moderating the sessions, etc.

A mentor panel will oversee the full organization of the event, provide advice to the organizing committee, and take the responsibility for the selection of the papers for the final scientific program.
