I am a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Juan Carlos Moure and Dr. David Vázquez, at the Computer Architecture and Operating Systems (UAB department) in Barcelona. Additionally, I collaborate as a teaching assistant. I am also an active member of the High Performance Computing Applications for Science and Engineering (HPCA4SE) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), where I do all my research. The topic of my thesis is Performance engineering on embedding vision for autonomous driving. My focus is to implement (and adapt to GPU devices) state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms efficiently. To this end, I am immerse in the study of parallel optimizations for GPUs.
My research interest include:
- HPC: Parallel Computing, CUDA, GPGPU and Real-time Algorithms.
- Computer Vision: Stereo Estimation, Stixel World and 3D Reconstruction.
- Robotics: Autonomous Driving.
- Embedeed: Low-energy embedeed GPU systems.
Currently, I am working on new Stixel World algorithmic ideas to speed up and improve accuracy of the results.
