Smart Bin

DESCRIPTION:

The Smart Bin is a device created to track surgical material used in operating rooms. It is easy to use and it simply requires the user to introduce the packaging of the surgical material in the hole located in the front of it. Smart bin uses computer vision algorithms to identify the barcode of the material that is being disposed of and upload the product information to the hospital’s tracking database. The tablet conveniently located on top of the smart bin shows the user the products that have been disposed during the surgery and provides them with some options for managing the device and editing the list of the surgical material used. The Smart bin is battery powered and includes wheels, making it easier to move around the operation room to place it in the most convenient place at each stage of the surgery.
