The Computer Vision Center renews the TECNIO 2020-23 accreditation

The CVC has achieved the renewal of the TECNIO accreditation, a seal of quality granted by the Generalitat de Catalunya to those research centers identified as entities that offer innovative technologies that can help companies to create and develop new products and services.

This recognition identifies the CVC as a technology development center for the R&D&I Catalan system, with differential technological capabilities and the ability to transfer them to strengthen the Catalan business network, and make its innovation ecosystem internationally attractive.

The aim of this distinction, granted by the Generalitat de Catalunya through ACCIÓ, is to help Catalan companies to identify where they can find technologies for the development of new products and processes, through the acquisition or exploitation of patents, contracting R&D&I projects or contact with spin-offs.

Together with the CVC, nine other groups from the UAB Research Park have been able to renew their TECNIO seal after meeting the new eligibility conditions rules and attributes stipulated by the Generalitat. These groups are CERTA, GTS, SNIBA and UPV from the UAB, and the GTQ, IIIA, MCS, NANOMOL and Nb4D from the CSIC.

In 2019, the accredited TECNIO groups received more than 11 million euros, 4.5 of which were with projects with companies, accounting for a total of 150 clients (60 of Catalan company name).
