ACMCV 2024

ACMCV 2024

The Computer Vision community of Catalonia celebrated the Annual Catalan Meeting on Computer Vision (ACMCV) on September 17. The event connected research, talent generation and industry in one day, providing students of the Master's Degree in Computer Vision the opportunity to meet with Catalan computer vision community members and potential employers. This year, the event attracted over 120 attendees.

ACMCV

ACMCV kicked off with the Master Theses Defenses, where 22 students from the Master's in Computer Vision program - representing the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Universitat de Barcelona - successfully presented their work at the Escola d'Enginyeria UAB.

Later, the computer vision community gathered at CVC for an engaging Poster Session, showcasing some of the most impactful research published in top journals and conferences throughout 2024. You can view the list of presented posters here.

One of the main goals of the ACMCV is to bridge the gap between students, professionals and potential employers. For this reason, the event featured an Industry Pitch with representatives from companies such as Qurv, Mitek Systems, HP, PICVISA, Davantis, IDNEO and Livitum. These companies presented their organisations and shared their goals for advancing AI-driven projects.
