The CVC celebrates Sant Jordi’s Day with themed activities and a book exchange.

On April 23rd, the Computer Vision Center (CVC) celebrated Sant Jordi's Day with activities to promote culture, creativity, and togetherness among the team at the center.

One of the main activities was the poetry challenge, a themed event where participants had to match and guess which part of a poem was written by a person and which by an artificial intelligence. It was a playful and thought-provoking way to connect literature and technology, while also offering a glimpse into the creative potential of AI.

A book exchange was also organised, where each person could leave one (or more!) and take another in return. The exchange table, initially set up in the CVC courtyard, was later moved indoors so it could remain accessible throughout the week, allowing everyone to take part at their own pace.

Among the highlighted activities, there was also a demonstration of our AI-powered comic generation tool, developed at the center. Taking advantage of the good weather, a small outdoor snack gathering was held in the courtyard—an ideal moment to enjoy a relaxed time in the open air. In addition, science and research-related books were also raffled, and special bookmarks were designed to commemorate the day.

We thank everyone who took part and hope you enjoyed celebrating Sant Jordi’s Day at the CVC.
