The CVC participated in the MEMEnginy 2025 fair of the UAB School of Engineering.
The Computer Vision Center (CVC) participated on April 24 in MEMEnginy 25, the technology and engineering fair organised by the School of Engineering at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), an annual event that connects students, companies, and research centers.
MEMEnginy is a university technology fair created to connect young talent with companies and institutions in the ICT and engineering sectors. Organised by the Student Council with the support of the School of Engineering and the UAB, the event features exhibition spaces, job interviews, talks, and networking activities.
The edition was a great success, with the participation of 80 companies and over 1,500 students. Nearly 1,000 job interviews were conducted, and innovative initiatives were presented, such as support for neurodivergent students and pre-event preparation on skills and CVs for participants.
The CVC participated with its booth, where it showcased the various opportunities the center offers to students interested in computer vision and applied research. Throughout the day, the internship program was presented, designed to allow students to carry out training placements at the center and actively collaborate on research projects. Information was also provided about the Master's program in Computer Vision, offered jointly by the CVC and UAB, and attendees were invited to participate in the Open Day on May 7, an opportunity to learn about the research lines, talk with researchers, and discover what it’s like to work at the center. Additionally, the participation of two CVC internship students, Gerard Asbert Marcos and Joan Lara Formoso, added great value to the event as they shared their experiences and career paths, answering questions and inspiring other students interested in the field of research.
At the CVC, we firmly believe in the importance of participating in events like these to connect with emerging talent, foster scientific vocations, and continue opening doors to the world of research and innovation.
We look forward to seeing you at next year's MEMEnginy!
