About CVC
The Computer Vision Center (CVC) is a non-profit research center established in 1995 by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Its mission is to carry out cutting-edge research that has the highest international impact in the field of computer vision. It also promotes the transference of knowledge to industry and society.
Computer vision is an exciting research area and an omnipresent technology, essentially empowering machines with the sense of vision. The CVC is a successful marriage between knowledge and innovation. In addition to our cutting-edge scientific achievements, we have established lasting ties with industrial partners and created several spin-off companies.
Context and Mission
The Human Pose Recovery and Behavior Analysis (HuPBA) group is looking for an engineer to assist with the synchronization and preparation of a large-scale multi-camera audiovisual dataset of face-to-face dyadic interactions. The selected candidate will work closely with the research team to synchronize the recordings using video editing software or semi-automated tools. This position is part of a broader effort to enable robust multi-view, multi-modal behavior analysis and synthesis in computer vision, machine learning, and affective computing research.
This position is linked to the project “Understanding Face-to-Face Dyadic Interactions through Social Signal Processing”, to which the UDIVA dataset is associated: a large-scale, multimodal collection of natural dyadic interactions designed to support research context-aware social behavior understanding and synthesis.
