ACMCV 2025

On September 16th, the 12th edition of the Annual Catalan Meeting on Computer Vision (ACMCV2025) was held at CVC, bringing together around 150 participants, including students, lecturers, researchers, and industry representatives.

The day began with the Master’s thesis defenses: 21 students from the Master in Computer Vision (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Universitat de Barcelona) presented and defended their Master’s theses.

In the afternoon, the community gathered at CVC for the Industry Pitch, which gave a platform to companies in the sector: Metascan, Ctrl4enviro, and UrbView. Speakers Lisa Hornung, Anton Gomà, and Gerard Jover shared real-world applications and opportunities for collaboration with emerging talent.

This was followed by the poster session, where projects and research results in computer vision and artificial intelligence were presented, encouraging the exchange of ideas among attendees.

The invited speaker for this year’s edition was David Vázquez, Director of AI Research at ServiceNow and CVC alumni. His talk, titled “Enterprise Visual Understanding with Vision-Language Models: From Documents to Intelligent Agents”, explored how vision-language models are being applied to visual information understanding in business environments and their integration with intelligent agents.

To close the day, the best students and best Master’s theses were awarded, recognizing the quality and commitment of the new cohorts. These awards highlight academic excellence and the practical relevance of the presented works.
