CVC and RDI-IA Network at the Smart City Expo Kyoto

The CVC, as coordinators of the RDI-IA Network, has participated in the Smart City Expo in Kyoto (Japan) to strengthen the international presence of the RDI-IA Network and establish new collaborations in the field of artificial intelligence.

This action is part of the strategic agreement of the Government of Catalonia with Kyoto , aimed at promoting cooperation in areas such as research, culture and public policies and consolidating Catalonia as a benchmark in the application and transfer of artificial intelligence.

During its participation, CVC and RDI-IA Network have focused on explaining the activities and support it offers to research groups belonging to Catalan universities through the three pillars that structure the network: Innovation Consulting, Venture Builder and Talent Factory. In addition, outstanding projects have been presented as success stories, showing the real impact of Catalan innovation in the field of artificial intelligence.

At the same time, the Network took advantage of the event to explore new international collaborations and establish contacts with exhibitors presenting AI solutions or complementary technologies. This task has allowed it to act as an interlocutor for Catalan research groups, to generate future synergies and promote technology transfer.

This initiative has been carried out within the framework of the collaboration between the Department of Research and Universities, the RDI-IA Network and the X_Agritech Network, and is part of a set of initiatives that foster cooperation between Catalan and Japanese research centers, particularly in the fields of information and communication technologies, environment, energy, life sciences, and food.
