The Computer Vision Center (CVC) is a non-profit research center established in 1995 by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Context and Mission

The LAMP group is looking for a research assistant position in technical support to collaborate on the CLOWS Project (PID2022-143257NB-I00).

The selected candidate will work on Task 2.3: "Continual category discovery"

This position is linked to the project CLOWS: Label-Efficient Continual Learning in Open World Scenarios, funded by Spanish Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación.

Key Duties

  • Offer research assistance on the topic of “Domain Generalized Semantic Segmentation”
  • Assist on data preparation and online code publication
  • Writing papers and presenting them on internationalvenues (conferences)

Requirements:

  • Education
    • Master’s degree in Information Technology or related fields, such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or similar disciplines.

Candidates currently enrolled in, or with a strong intention to pursue, a PhD program will be positively valued. In particular, ongoing doctoral studies in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or closely related research areas will be considered a strong asset.

  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
    • Previous experience in Domain Generalization
    • Previous experience with Transformers architecture and PEFT methods
    • Good programming skills using PyTorch
  • Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
    • Professional experience in Domain Adaptation
    • Programming skills in Python programming
  • Competences
    • Fluency in spoken and written English
    • Ability to think creatively, work independently and make decisions.
    • Ability to take initiative, prioritize and work under set deadlines and pressure
    • The candidate must be an effective communicator, multitask, and work well on collaborative and interdisciplinary designs.
