About CVC:
The Computer Vision Center (CVC) is a CERCA research center created in 1995 by the Government of Catalonia and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), dedicated to research in the fields of Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence.
Computer Vision is a major challenge for science and technology that requires collaboration across different research areas, such as vision sciences, optics, computer science, mathematics, and electronics. Research in Computer Vision not only helps us understand how biological vision itself works, but also aims to have a significant impact on people’s everyday lives.
From its location on the UAB campus, the CVC works to ensure that the development of computer vision becomes a key factor in the scientific, technological, and industrial activities of our country.
Abput the position:
The Vision and Language research group at the Computer Vision Center is opening a call for the recruitment of two people to carry out data annotation tasks within the framework of the project InterVisions: Participatory AI for intersectional bias auditing and benchmarking in vision & language foundation models, led by Dr. Lluis Gómez and funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).

Main responsibilities:
The selected candidates will participate in a study on diversity and representation in Artificial Intelligence systems. Tasks include:
- Classification of images according to the concept they represent (professions, sports, community life, politics, etc.).
- Tagging of perceived visible attributes of people in the images (gender, age, etc.).
- Evaluation of the suitability of images for institutional communication campaigns.
- Following an established annotation protocol.
- Participation in mandatory initial training.
Required profile:
- Preferably students of communication, social sciences, humanities, or related fields.
- Essential sensitivity to issues of diversity and representation.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and work with rigor.
- No prior experience in Artificial Intelligence is required.
Conditions:
- Part-time contract for one month (flexible schedule to be agreed upon).
- Compensation: €1,000 gross for a 20-hour workweek.
- Start date: Immediate
