About the CVC:
The Computer Vision Center (CVC) is a CERCA research center established in 1995 by the Government of Catalonia and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), dedicated to research in the fields of Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence.
Computer Vision is a challenge for science and technology that requires collaboration among different research areas, such as vision sciences, optics, computer science, mathematics, and electronics. In addition to helping understand how biological vision itself works, research in Computer Vision aims to have a significant impact on people’s daily lives.
From the UAB campus, the CVC works to ensure that the development of computer vision becomes a key factor in the scientific, technological, and industrial activities of our country.
About the position:
The Computer Vision Center is seeking an Administrative Assistant to carry out reception duties and provide support to the center’s administration area.
We are looking for a proactive person with strong teamwork skills, accustomed to working in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
Main responsibilities:
- Telephone assistance, email management, and reception of visitors.
- Assistance to center staff and visitors. Management of the onboarding process for new staff members.
- Coordination of meeting room bookings and preparation.
- Management of mail and parcel deliveries.
- Basic supervision of the condition of common areas.
- Monitoring office supplies, courtesy items, and consumables stock, as well as managing orders.
- Management and follow-up of building incidents (maintenance, air conditioning, lighting, cleaning, access, etc.).
- Other administrative support tasks that may be required within the administration unit.
Requirements:
- Minimum required education: Intermediate Vocational Training Certificate (CFGM) in Administrative Management or equivalent training. Higher education degrees are not required.
- Languages:
- Catalan and Spanish: native level or equivalent.
- English: minimum B2 level. Fluency in conversation is essential.
- IT skills: proficiency in standard office software at user level.
Merits or valued aspects:
- Previous experience in administrative management or reception tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
- Organizational and planning skills, as well as autonomy in managing multiple tasks.
We offer:
- Immediate incorporation through a temporary replacement contract.
- Workplace located at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona campus, in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona).
- 37.5-hour working week, from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:30.
- On-site working modality.
- Holidays: 23 working days per year, proportional to time worked.
- Salary: €20,000 gross per year.
