BRAINMAPP (RETECH)
The main objective of the project is to develop a new medical device for neurosurgical assistance called BrainMapp, intended to support awake neurosurgery procedures, with the aim of improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of the procedure known as electrical stimulation mapping (ESM). This device is based on Artificial Intelligence technologies, specifically Computer Vision and signal processing, and is designed to optimize the recording of functional brain mapping in real time during surgeries. By significantly improving the precision in identifying functional areas of the brain, BrainMapp helps preserve patients’ cognitive and motor abilities as much as possible, facilitating better postoperative recovery and maintaining their quality of life.
