CVCRD 2012
We are pleased to announce that the Seventh CVC Workshop on Advances in Theory and Application of Computer Vision (CVCR&D2012) will be held at the Computer Vision Center on October 26th, 2012.
The program will be organized in a full-day workshop. It will comprise extended oral sessions dedicated to the research topic that have been presented during the last year to top conferences and journals: this is a good chance for senior students to share their work with the other members of CVC. In addition, short spotlights, followed by poster session will be organized for all the CVC students.
Workshop format
This year we are introducing interesting news in both the content and the organization of the event.
First, each author is asked to submit an extended abstract of about one page, including a graphical abstract, summarizing one research topic, a specific problem, or even an interesting proposal.
We are also introducing a blog-like web page (codename O-Book). It will serve as an internal social network, useful to discover the interests and the current research of each member of CVC, to share data, papers and ideas.
Finally, for the first time, we are inviting companies to attend the CVCRD workshop. Members of known companies related to computer vision and pattern recognition will attend the presentations, will present their main interests and will also share some time with the students, to share ideas, opinions and proposals.
