Technology description:
A machine learning system for decision support in situational awareness. Specifically, an artificial neural network transfers tasks learned from electroencephalography (EEG) signals in the general population to recognize pilot mental workload from such signals in a simulated operational setting.
The strength of this system is that it provides valuable information about the cognitive workload of pilots that directly impacts their optimal performance.
