Responding to requests for information or contact
We use the contact details you provide to respond to your requests and enquiries about our products and services, whether submitted via the form on the website or sent to the contact email addresses published on it.

Submitting applications for open recruitment processes
We process the personal data of people who apply for CVC recruitment processes in order to assess and manage their applications for the positions for which they apply.

We process the personal data of people who apply for CVC internship programmes in order to assess and manage their applications to take part in these programmes.

CVC will use the contact details you provide to send newsletters to those who have expressly requested them. These newsletters may include information about CVC events, activities and news that may be of interest and are related to CVC’s work.

Website Visit Analytics
CVC uses various techniques to collect information for analytics on visits to, and navigation around, our websites, including:

- The list of pages from which a link was followed to reach the current page (sometimes referred to as a “referrer”), whether internal or external, per page and aggregated daily;
- Determination of the type of device, browser and screen size of visitors, per page and aggregated daily
- Page load time statistics, per page and aggregated per hour;
- Statistics on the time spent on each page, bounce rate, scroll depth, per page and aggregated daily.
- Statistics on user actions (clicks, selections), per page and aggregated daily;
- Statistics on the geographical area of origin of applications, per page and aggregated daily.

Please note that, as stated in their privacy policies, these companies may combine browsing data with their internal logs in order to personalise advertising, even if you do not have a registered account with their services.

Response to requests for information on recording images of public roads.
The CVC promotes research in image processing. In some cases, it may involve the recording of images on public roads, so circumstantially images of people and license plates that identify natural persons may be recorded.
Applying the principle of minimization of the processing of personal data, all personal data that are circumstantially recorded are anonymized, thus the CVC guarantees that the personal data that has circumstantially been recorded are not stored.
"Raw" (unanonymized) images are not stored, and are not used for any purpose other than to anonymize personal data.
This processing applies to all projects where images of public roads are recorded, except in those cases in which it is specified differently and the interested parties have been specifically notified.

Process orders from the online store
The personal data provided to manage the sales, invoicing and delivery of orders placed through our online store will be processed.

- Billing details: Name and surname(s), company, billing address and contact telephone number.

- Processing necessary for the performance of a contract to which the interested party is a party or for the application of pre-contractual measures at the request of the interested party.
In addition to the above, CVC may carry out other processing of personal data. In this case, the interested party will receive the necessary information in relation to this processing and CVC will request their consent if necessary.
How long will CVC keep your data?
In general, we keep data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and to determine any potential liabilities that may arise from that purpose and the processing of the data.
This means, among other things, that CVC will keep personal data for the duration of its relationship with you and, where appropriate, for as long as is necessary to establish, exercise or defend potential legal claims, or to comply with legal obligations under applicable law.
Where candidates submit applications for recruitment processes, we will keep their data for up to 1 year if they have not been admitted to any recruitment process during that period, unless they consent to a longer retention period.
Where candidates apply for internship programmes, we will keep their data for up to 1 year if they have not been admitted to the programme during that period, unless they consent to a longer retention period.
Where data is collected by third parties (such as Google and Mailchimp), it is governed by the terms set out in their respective privacy policies and by the cookie retention periods described in our Cookie Policy.
Once the relevant retention period has expired, CVC will stop processing the personal data and will delete, block or anonymise it as appropriate for the purposes for which it was held.
Who will your data be shared with?
We do not share personal data with third parties unless this is necessary to respond to your request, we are legally required to do so, or you have given your consent.
We may also share data with companies that provide services supporting our day-to-day and administrative activities. These companies act as data processors and may be based in Spain or abroad. Such services may include (among others) email providers, web and server hosting, SaaS application management services and cloud-based file archiving.
Some of these services may involve the transfer of personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area (international data transfers). Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place and that transfers are made only to countries recognised as providing an adequate level of protection or, where applicable, to organisations covered by an appropriate transfer mechanism.

What are your rights?
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability in relation to personal data processed by CVC, as well as the rights to object to, and to restrict, processing.
You can exercise these rights free of charge by sending a written, signed request, together with a copy of your ID card or an equivalent document proving your identity, to:

If you act through a representative, their authority must be proven in writing, together with a copy of their ID card or an equivalent document.
In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent you have given at any time using the procedure described above. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. CVC may continue to process your personal data where permitted by applicable law or where another lawful basis applies.
In relation to newsletters and other marketing communications, you may withdraw your consent at any time by telling CVC that you no longer wish to receive them. You can do this using the procedure described above or by using the unsubscribe link included in each communication.
CVC also reminds you that you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (the Catalan Data Protection Authority).
Updating your data
To ensure that your personal data is accurate and up to date, please inform us of any changes. Otherwise, we cannot be responsible for its accuracy or for any implications this may have for its processing.
Security in the processing and custody of data
CVC states that it has implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure—and to be able to demonstrate—that processing complies with applicable legislation and that the rights of data subjects are protected.
To this end, CVC has implemented a Personal Data Protection Management System to identify and apply the technical and organisational measures available to it to prevent loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access to, and theft of, user data. Please note that no security measures on the internet are completely secure.
CVC also has internal controls in place to verify, evaluate and regularly assess the effectiveness of the technical and organisational measures implemented to ensure the security of processing.
