FAQs

⭕ Who has to present at CVCRD?

The abstract submission is mandatory for all PhD students.

In addition, PhD students will introduce their work to the audience in short oral presentations. Exceptions: oral presentation is optional for those PhD students who will defend their thesis in the following months and for those who have just started their thesis.

Furthermore, the submission is open to (1) CVC spin-offs, which could present their main research and applications; (2) Technology Transfer & Innovation Unit staff; (3) interns and (4) rest of the researchers of CVC who may present novel ideas or challenges.

⭕ Can I use another conference poster for CVCRD poster session?

Of course! What is more, we encourage you to reuse your conference posters, especially if you have already printed them.

If you don’t have any other conference posters to recycle, you can use the template in the author kit to prepare yours.

⭕ Where I can find templates for my presentation or poster?

You can find all CVCRD templates (abstract, slides and poster) here 🡲 Author’s Kit

⭕ Can I present online?

Oral presentations will take place in person at CVC. However, in justified cases, they could be held online.

If this is the case, please, let us know at press@cvc.uab.cat

⭕ How long should my presentation be?

PhD students will introduce their work to the audience in a 5-minute oral presentation.
