Statistical learning & computer vision: affective computing, action modeling and tracking at SEQAM Lab

Statistical learning & computer vision: affective computing, action modeling and tracking at SEQAM Lab

Place: SEQAM LAB, Piscataway New Jersey, USA

Affiliation: Sequence Analysis and Modeling (SEQAM) Lab at Rutgers,

In this talk I will present an overview of our recent work at the intersection of machine learning and computer vision at the Sequence Analysis and Modeling (SEQAM) Lab at Rutgers,  http://seqam.rutgers.edu.

I will focus on and briefly describe advances and techniques developed in the lab for four research problems: spontaneous affective facial state estimation, spatio-temporal activity recognition, multitarget discriminative tracking, and distributed statistical learning for camera networks. Time permitting, I will also describe some of our prior work on large scale image and sequence annotation and retrieval.
