ExperimentaAI project awarded the AI Dissemination Prize by the Catalan Association of Artificial Intelligence

ExperimentaAI, CVC's scientific outreach project, awarded the AI Dissemination Prize by the Catalan Association of Artificial Intelligence

The Catalan Association of Artificial Intelligence (ACIA) has awarded the “AI dissemination award” to the ExperimentAI project, a scientific dissemination initiative, coordinated by the CVC and co-funded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) - Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. This project aims to bring artificial intelligence and computer vision closer to citizens, fostering reflection on their societal impact through several sessions held in public libraries.

ACIA, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting artificial intelligence within Catalan society, is committed to facilitating communication among individuals and organizations involved in AI and raising social, cultural, scientific, economic, and governmental awareness of AI. Each year, ACIA bestows various awards for outstanding contributions to artificial intelligence, including the "AI Dissemination Award," which ExperimentAI recently received.

Scientific dissemination is a cornerstone of CVC's mission, as it strives to make its research accessible to a diverse audience. CVC provides engaging content, scientific outreach activities, and citizen science programs to bring computer vision and artificial intelligence closer to society.

CVC wants to express its gratitude to ACIA for this recognition!

The prize ceremony was held on Friday, October 27, at the Sant Benet Monastery in Sant Fruitós del Bages as part of the Catalan Association of Artificial Intelligence's 25th International Conference (CIIA 2023).
