CVC Achieves Top Rank in Computer Science in Spain According to SCImago Ranking

The SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) is a classification of academic and research institutions based on a composite indicator that integrates three distinct sets of criteria, assessing research performance, innovation outputs, and societal impact measured through web visibility.

The Scimago ranking categorizes universities and other public and private research institutions in a general ranking, as well as separately for countries and across 19 research fields.

In the global ranking, the CVC occupies the 6th position in Spain out of 385 institutions and is placed 241st worldwide out of 8,433 institutions.

Upon closer examination of field-specific data, the CVC emerges as the leading institution in Spain in the field of Computer Science, surpassing 111 institutions, and securing the 152nd spot globally among 3,750 institutions.

Additionally, the CVC holds the 5th position in the field of Mathematics in Spain out of 85 institutions and is ranked 317th worldwide.
